Brightview Semillon 2006

Winemaker’s Notes:
This wine exemplifies the perfect marriage between Semillon and the Barossa Valley and is complexed by judicious skin and lees contact. Only a really disciplined collector could bear to put this down as it is delicious now. Still, it would be very, very interesting to see it again in a few years time.

Fact Sheet

“Anthony’s Reserve” Shiraz 2001

Winemaker’s Notes:
The color is deep red, red with ruby, pink edges. The nose has an intense plum, spicy strawberry and lemon gum eucalypt jumps out of the glass, what an exciting departure from the normal, straight-up, sweet fruit one normally expects. The herbaceousness adds refreshing complexity and intrigue, together with the toasty vanilla note which adds completeness. Ripe plum and blackcurrant are found throughout the palate. Dusty cherry edges and toasty oak form the lifted flavors of this impressively structured wine. Thankfully not overwhelming in the tannin department, the depth of fruit is balanced and long. Silky, rather than robust, this wine will age beautifully and elegantly.
