Pinot Grigio 2006
Winemaker’s Notes
The rich alluvial soils of our high altitude hillside vineyards are ideal for Pinot Grigio production. The cool climate (influenced by proximity to the Adriatic Sea and the Alps) enhances the fruit fragrance and the wine’s fresh, crisp taste.
This vintage was hand harvested during the first half of September followed by soft pressing and alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. The fruit’s natural aromatic components are retained by the wine because of short aging in stainless-steel tanks until the moment of bottling.
Color: Golden straw.
Nose: Reminiscent of white peach.
Palate: Fresh, clean and intense white fruit flavors (white grapes, apples, pears) with crisp green apple aftertaste.
Technical Information:
Appellation: Veneto Region
Alcohol: 12% by volume
Total Acidity: 5.4 g/liter
Residual Sugar: 5 g/liter
